Chris Evans Reminds Us Of The Time He Stuck A Banana Up His Ass

September 10, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

chris-evans-not-another-teen-movieIf you heard that an actor stuck a banana up his ass, you’d normally think it was either some sort of tabloid scandal or part of a strange avant garde art piece, but Chris Evans did it for comedy.

While talking to The Wrap about his directorial debut, Before We Go, that’s premièring at at the Toronto International Film Festival, the Captain America star was taken back to the early part of his career, where in his very first Hollywood movie he landed the lead role – Not Another Teen Movie.

The Wrap wanted to know, “How did it feel after you ‘made it’ in your film debut?”

However Chris has his reservations about it saying, “I don’t know if I made it. The movie had me stick a banana in my ass. It wasn’t exactly some high brow art.”

The banana was part of a scene that certainly helped get Chris some of his first adoring fans, where he wore a whipped cream bikini – and nothing else – while spoofing a similar scene featuring Ali Larter in Varisty Blues. You can take a look at the scene below, along with the full Wrap interview with director’s-hat Chris.

While Not Another Teen Movie has a lot of detractors, personally I love it, as it manages to hit just the right level of juvenile humour for me. And whipped cream Chris is certainly a bonus. [Read more…]

Zac Efron Grabs The Goods & Flashes The Abs In A Bad Neighbours Deleted Scene

September 3, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

bad-neighbours-slideSometimes the world is a confusing place. You’ve made a movie and filmed scenes where you get Zac Efron grab his genitals, as well as flashing his abs and pulling down the waistband of his jeans to show he’s not a man who completely shaves down below – and then you cut it out of the film?

What’s wrong with the world! It’s almost as perplexing as when they removed a scene of Ryan Gosling taking his pants off in Place Beyond The Pines.

Thankfully we live in a universe that has invented DVDs with deleted scenes, and so these shots of Efron sexiness have shown up on the home entertainment release of Bad Neighbours. And therefore it’s little surprise that they’ve also made it to the interwebs (thanks to Attitude for the tip) and burned themselves onto our retinas.

Take a look at some delectable gifs of the Efron action below, and if you want to see the whole thing,  Bad Neighbours is out on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK on September 8th and the 23rd in the US. [Read more…]

Chatting To I Am Divine Director Jeffrey Schwarz

September 1, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

I-Am-Divine-slideI Am Divine, the wonderful documentary look at the drag queen who became John Waters’ muse, is out on DVD now. It’s a great look at a fascinating person who died too young, celebrating someone who pushed the envelope of both sexuality and life in general.

We talked to the film’s director, Jeffrey Schwarz, about the film.

Why is it so important to tell Divine’s story?
At this time where the LGBT community is quickly becoming absorbed into mainstream society, I think it’s important to celebrate outsider artists like Divine. It’s always the rebels and the freaks that make life easier for the rest of us. Divine succeeded in becoming an internationally recognized recording artist and screen icon and gives courage to anyone who’s ever been mocked, ridiculed, or ostracized. His story gives us hope that anything’s possible. It’s kind of the ultimate “it gets better” story and he’s a poster child for misfit youth. I wanted the next generation to get to know their Queen Mother and find inspiration to fulfill their own creative destiny in his story. [Read more…]

Brokeback Mountain Gets A Gay-Free Russian Makeover In A Fun New Vid

August 30, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

brokeback-mountainWith the ban of gay propaganda in Russia, I imagine a bit of editing has had to go on with some Hollywood movies over there, to ensure they don’t say suggest being gay is a-ok.

Now a fun new vid has come along which gives us a look at Russian Brokeback Mountain, where the Ang Lee tale of two cowpokes who like each other an awful lot is straightened up to be the story of two totally heterosexual guys who get naked to show how straight they are, sleep with lots of women and have straight babies.

And the only thing they want to quit is smoking.

It’s a fake trailer that’s a lot of fun, so take a look below. [Read more…]

Superman (aka Henry Cavill) Takes The Ice Bucket Challenge In Full Costume

August 26, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

henry-cavill-ice-bucket-challengeEvery famous person on the planet has now done the Ice Bucket Challenge it seems, and that includes Superman, who sat down with Lois Lane to get drenched with water.

Okay, it was Henry Cavill and Amy Adams, who took time off from shooting Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice to take part in the challenge, but they did it in full costume. So if you’ve ever wondered what the Man Of Steel would look like after multiple people have poured buckets of water over him, this is your chance.

It’s a fun vid and we have to say when he sits like that there’s a bit more super-bulge than we normally get to see.

Of course Henry and Amy are doing it to support ALS awareness and fundraising. In the UK ALS is known as Motor Neurone Disease and so Brits can give a bit of cash to the MND Association to show their support, while in the US it’s the ALSA that should be getting your money.

Take a look below and you can find all our other Ice Bucket Challenge posts here. [Read more…]

Zachary Quinto Proves He Doesn’t Need Pants To Watch The Emmys

August 26, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

zachary-quinto-emmys-underwearZachary Quinto sure likes posting pics to Instagram, and that includes letting us know that he didn’t put pants on until the Emmys had already started last night.

We’re not entirely sure who took the picture of Quinto above, but we’re certainly glad they did.

Quinto was far from the LA ceremony as he’s currently in New York shooting Michael, in which he plays the ex-lover of James Franco’s ex-gay character. As he says on Instagram, ‘literally watching the emmys as i change clothes between scenes for our movie… no complaints. GO FRIENDS!!!’

Yes Zachary, you were just changing clothes and not deciding watching TV in your underwear was the best plan.

Yes We’re Ice Bucket Challenge Obsessed: Colton Haynes, John Barrowman, Tom Hanks, George Takei, Gregg Sulkin’s Shrinkage & Nude Dan Osborne

August 26, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

ice-bucket-5If you’re not interested in the Ice Bucket Challenge we apologise. Over the the last couple of weeks we have become rather obsessed with famous guys pouring buckets of cold water over their heads. We haven’t finished with the meme yet though, as this time we have Colton Haynes, John Barrowman, George Takei, Tom Hanks, Gregg Sulkin and Dan Osborne.

You may be wondering who the last two are. Well, Sulkin is a young actor from Wizards of Waverly Place and Faking It, and we only included him because we were amused by his comments about what the Ice Bucket Challenge did to his package. Osborne meanwhile is a British reality TV star who’s gained many gay fans due to the fact he has no worries about showing off some skin, as he shows here with his naked challenge.

Oh and with John Barrowman being John Barrowman, it’s not too surprising his hot hubby is just wearing a jockstrap in his vid.

Of course they’re all doing it to support ALS awareness and fundraising. In the UK ALS is known as Motor Neurone Disease and so Brits can give a bit of cash to the MND Association to show their support, while in the US it’s the ALSA that should be getting your money.

And for those moaning that it’s stupid and pointless, the ALSA has said that in the last few weeks they’ve received around $65 million, as compared to around $2.5 million during the same period last year.

If you have been underneath a rock for the past few days and want to catch up on the many, many celebs who’ve been drenched in the name of charity, you can check out:

Matt Bomer, Chris Pratt, Joe Manganiello, Stephen Amell, Robert Downey Jr., Jesse Metcalfe, Lance Bass, and boyband Emblem3

Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Vin Diesel, The Flash’s Grant Gustin and James Franco,

Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Cruise, Zac Efron, Channing Tatum, Jamie Dornan, Eddie Redmayne & Robert Pattinson

James McAvoy, Chris Evans, Ian McKellen, Neil Patrick Harris, Sam Claflin, Hugh Jackman and Josh Hutcherson.

So take a look at Takei and co. below as well as the guys in the other Ice Bucket Challenge posts and then think about putting your hand into your pocket. [Read more…]

Yet More Ice Bucket Challenges: James McAvoy, Chris Evans, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Neil Patrick Harris, Sam Claflin, Josh Hutcherson

August 25, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

ice-bucket-4There really is no end to the famous guys lining up to take the Ice Bucket Challenge. We’ve already featured, Matt Bomer, Chris Pratt, Joe Manganiello, Stephen Amell, Robert Downey Jr., Jesse Metcalfe, Lance Bass, and boyband Emblem3 as well as Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Vin Diesel, The Flash’s Grant Gustin and James Franco and not forgetting Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Cruise, Zac Efron, Channing Tatum, Jamie Dornan, Eddie Redmayne & Robert Pattinson.

It doesn’t end there though, as now we have James McAvoy, Chris Evans, Ian McKellen, Neil Patrick Harris, Sam Claflin, Hugh Jackman and Josh Hutcherson getting drenched. (And we particularly enjoyed Claflin’s dancing, as well as Chris Evans deciding in his lengthy vid that only a suit would befit the occasion).

More Ice Bucket Challengers: Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Cruise, Zac Efron, Channing Tatum, Jamie Dornan, Eddie Redmayne & Robert Pattinson

August 22, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

benedict-cumberbatch-ice-bucketA lot of people have been enjoying the Ice Bucket Challenge (although there have inevitably been naysayers who seem determined to see a bad side of everything), and our earlier posts featuring a host of celebs getting wet in the name of charity have certainly been popular.

However we’ve certainly not run out of famous folk getting drenched to raise awareness and hopefully some cash for ALS, although as the brilliant video Benedict Cumberbatch put together below shows, in the UK it’s known as Motor Neurone Disease and so Brits can give a bit of cash to the MND Association to show their support, while in the US it’s the ALSA that should be getting your money.

Along with Cumberbatch’s rather epic multiple soakings, you can take a look below at Tom Cruise and Mission: Impossible 5 director Chris McQuarrie getting drenched, Channing Tatum teaming up with wife Jenna, Zac Efron showing he’s up for the challenge alongside Ashley Tisdale, Jamie Dornan and Eddie Redmayne doing it with each other, and Robert Pattinson proving just how wet a t-shirt can get.

And if you need proof of why this is important, take a look at the Ice Bucket Challenge video at the bottom of this post, which comes from a man who was recently diagnosed with the condition.

You also can take a look at our earlier Ice Bucket Challenge posts, featuring Matt Bomer, Chris Pratt, Joe Manganiello, Stephen Amell, Robert Downey Jr., Jesse Metcalfe, Lance Bass, and boyband Emblem3 and another with Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Vin Diesel, The Flash’s Grant Gustin and James Franco. Ice Bucket Challenge Redux: Chris Hemsworth, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston, James Franco & Grant Gustin

August 19, 2014 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

tom-hiddleston-ice-bucket-challengeIt seems celebs can’t get enough of doing the Ice Bucket Challenge. Just yesterday we posted the likes of Chris Pratt, Stephen Amell, Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello getting drenched for charity, and since then they’ve been joined by plenty more.

As a result you can see Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Vin Diesel, The Flash’s Grant Gustin and a pant-free James Franco have a bucket of ice water chucked over their heads. Diesel in particular has an impressive list of people he’s calling on to take the challenge next.

I’m also a fan of Tom Hiddleston in a wet white t-shirt.

They’re not doing it solely to jump on a bandwagon, as those taking part and also raising funds and awareness for ALS (commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease in the US and motor neurone disease in the UK).

Take a look at the new Ice Bucket celebs below. [Read more…]
