Ever since The Hangover, Hollywood has been bringing us ever more raucous party antics and now we’re getting a college age look at a crazy night of alcogol fuelled antics in 21 & Over – and this one is even from the writers of The Hangover, which suggests exactly what we should expect. Justin Chon (Twilight) plays Jeff Chang, who’s planning a quiet night at home on his 21st birthday in preparation for an important grad school interview. His plans change – whether he likes it or not – when his best friends (Miles Teller and Skylar Astin) arrive unannounced, dragging him out for a wild evening to celebrate the fact he’s now allowed to drink. Unsurprisingly things soon get out of hand. The film should be out next spring.

Gorgeous Annie Liebovitz Les Miserables Images Online
If you want a gorgeous looking photo, there are few people better to go to than Annie Liebovitz, whose sharp eye rarely goes wrong. She also has a great way of making things look classic and romantic, so she’s the perfect person to shoot a series of portraits for the upcoming Les Miserables, which she photographed for Vogue and are now online.
They are beautiful pictures and hopefully Tom Hooper’s movie will look just as good.

Anne Hathaway Confirmed For Spielberg’s Robopocalypse
With Lincoln now in US cinemas, Steven Spielberg can go full steam ahead with Robopocalypse. In the last few months he signed Chris Hemsworth for the lead and it was revealed Anne Hathaway was in talks to join him. Now the actress has confirmed that she’ll be part of the film.
She’s told Empire, “If Robopocalypse happens I will be in it, and I believe it’s quite real, though you never want to hang your hat on anything.”
While she makes it sound like there’s a lot of uncertainty over whether Robopocalype will happen, it’s likely that’s more due to the inherent unpredictability of the movie business rather than any knowledge that Spielberg’s film might implode at any moment.
On being cast, Hathaway says, “Whenever I’m taking time off, I always joke to my team that I’m on vacation unless Steven Spielberg calls. And I was on vacation and Spielberg called. So I was like, ‘OK, put my money where my mouth is’.”
The last we heard the plan is for the movie to begin principal photography in early 2013, with a release date already set of April 25th, 2014. Exploring the fate of the human race following a robot uprising, Robopocalypse has been adapted for the screen by Drew Goddard (Cloverfield), based on the novel of the same name by Daniel H. Wilson.
Eight New Oz The Great & Powerful Pics Arrive
March seems an odd time to release a great big fantasy movie like Oz The Great And Powerful, but Disney had great success at that time with Alice In Wonderland, and while the March release of John Carter didn’t work out so well, they’re sticking with it for Oz. As a result they’re really getting going on the marketing, to ensure everyone knows its coming before Sam Raimi’s movie hits cinemas.
Now a octet of new images from the movie have been released many of which come from USA Today, showing us beautiful witches and James Franco having a chat with a china doll. Oh, and there’s a monkey bellboy too! There are also four pics showing off the beautiful fantasy landscapes, suggesting this is going to be a very beautiful Oz.
The USA Today articles also has Raimi talking a little about the movie, saying, “[Franco’s character Oscar Diggs] is mistaken for Oz the Great and Powerful, destined to be the next king of Emerald City. But he’s only to receive that title if he can defeat the Wicked Witch.”
He also comments on the pic of Franco and the doll, “Everything in the land, the houses and people made of china, have been broken by the Wicked Witch and her army. Oscar find the pieces of this china doll and puts them together, and hence the China Girl (voiced by Joey King) is saved. He’s telling her she has to go back to the Emerald City, where she’ll be well taken care of. But she won’t have any of it. He’s going to learn by the end of this scene that he’s not the only huckster in the bunch.”
Franco stars alongside Michelle Williams, Mila Kunis and Rachel Weisz. Expect it in cinemas March 8th, and a new trailer is due soon. Click on the pics below for larger versions.

Final US Django Unchained Poster Debuts
The world seems to be broken into factions, some of whom are most excited about The Hobbit being released in the next couple of months and some who can’t wait Quentin Tarantino’s new movie, Django Unchained. The film hits the US on December 25th and comes to the UK on January 18th.
With those dates fast approaching, the final US theatrical poster for the movie has now arrives via Yahoo! Movies. It sees Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and Leo DiCaprio all looking pretty moody.
Here’s the synopsis: ‘Set in the South two years before the Civil War, Django Unchained stars Academy Award-winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles – dead or alive.
‘Success leads Schultz to free Django, though the two men choose not to go their separate ways. Instead, Schultz seeks out the South’s most wanted criminals with Django by his side. Honing vital hunting skills, Django remains focused on one goal: finding and rescuing Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), the wife he lost to the slave trade long ago.
‘Django and Schultz’s search ultimately leads them to Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio), the proprietor of “Candyland,” an infamous plantation where slaves are groomed by trainer Ace Woody (Kurt Russell) to battle each other for sport. Exploring the compound under false pretenses, Django and Schultz arouse the suspicion of Stephen (amuel L. Jackson), Candie’s trusted house slave. Their moves are marked, and a treacherous organization closes in on them. If Django and Schultz are to escape with Broomhilda, they must choose between independence and solidarity, between sacrifice and survival.’
Sean Penn Going Assassin For The Prone Gunman
Sean Penn isn’t an actor who we normally thing of when it comes to action movies, but it seems he wants to try one out, as THR reports that he has joined a planned adaptation of Jean-Patrick Manchette’s action novel The Prone Gunman.
The book is about a hired gun called Martin Terrier, who is trying to retire from his profession (why are assassins always trying to retire in movies?). After his failed attempt to leave his chosen life, he ends up in a brutal cat-and-mouse chase across Europe. Manchette’s book has been described as existentialist, as much a look at the human condition as an action film – which is probably what Penn likes.
Peter Travis is set to write the script, although it’s not known whne it might shoot.
Saw Helmer James Wan Eyes MacGyver Movie
For years there’s been talk of making a movie based on the 80s action series MacGyver, and now things are moving forward once again with the news James Wan, director of Saw and Insidious, has entered negotiations to direct the film for New Line.
The movie has been stuck in development since May 2010, when the studio hired Jason Richman (Bangkok Dangerous, Swing Vote) to write the screenplay. Brian Gunn and Mark Gunn (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island) have provided the most recent script revisions. The whole thing was almost derailed by the spoof film MacGruber, which even led to the creator of MacGyver suing that film saying it was based on his rights and they were trying to get around it by changing the name.
The original MacGyver TV series, which ran from 1985 to 1992, starred Richard Dean Anderson as the title character, a secret agent working for The Phoenix Foundation. Although he never carried a gun, MacGyver used his innate technical know-how to defeat the bad guys with a variety of weapons he builds himself.

Elmo Performer Kevin Clash Leaves Sesame Street After Underage Sex Claims
Kevin Clash, the gay performer behind Sesame Street’s Elmo, has taken a leave of absence from Sesame Street, following claims from a former lover that he was underage when he and Kevin first became intimate. Clash has admitted to TMZ that a physical relationship did take place, but denies the man was underage when it happened.
The unnamed man is now 23 and claims the relationship took place when he was 16 (the age of consent varies from state to state, ranging from 16 to 18). Clash has this isn’t true and that, “I am deeply saddened that he is trying to make it into something it was not.”
Sesame Street seems relatively supportive of Clash, releasing a statement that reads, “We took the allegation very seriously and took immediate action. We met with the accuser twice and had repeated communications with him. We met with Kevin, who denied the accusation. We also conducted a thorough investigation and found the allegation of underage conduct to be unsubstantiated. Although this was a personal relationship unrelated to the workplace, our investigation did reveal that Kevin exercised poor judgement and violated company policy regarding Internet usage and he was disciplined.”
It adds, “Kevin insists that the allegation of underage conduct is false and defamatory and he is taking actions to protect his reputation. We have granted him a leave of absence to do so. Elmo is bigger than any one person and will continue to be an integral part of [Sesame Street] to engage, educate and inspire children around the world, as it has for 40 years.”
It’s unclear when or indeed Clash will return. He has been the voice and puppeteer for Elmo for the past 28 years. Kevin’s story and work was chronicled in the recent feature-length documentary, Being Elmo.
Mental Trailer – Toni Collette reunites with the director of Muriel’s Wedding
Having Toni Collette as your nanny sounds like it’d be quite fun, but in Mental she certainly shakes up a family where all the daughters think they’re mental. The film sees her reunite with director PJ Hogan for the first time since Muriel’s Wedding. Here’s the synopsis: ‘The Moochmore girls are certain they all suffer from some kind of undiagnosed mental illness – because if they’re not crazy then they’re just unpopular. Their mother Shirley (Rebecca Gibney) – unable to cope with her demanding daughters and unsupported by her philandering politician husband, Barry (Anthony LaPaglia) – suffers a nervous breakdown. After Barry commits his wife to a mental hospital (telling his constituents that “she’s on holiday”) he finds himself alone with 5 teenage girls he barely knows. Desperate, he impulsively picks up a hitchhiker named Shaz (Collette) and installs her in his home as nanny to his daughters.’ The movie is out on November 16th.
Eric Bana Might Beware The Night For Director Scott Derrickson
Scott Derrickson just scored a big hit with Sinister and it appears he planning to stay in paranormal chiller territory, as The Wrap reports Eric Bana is in talks to star in Derrickson’s upcoming film, Beware The Night.
Derrickson is set to both direct and co-write (with Paul Boardman) the paranormal police thriller, which follows a New York police officer investigating real life demon possessions, exorcisms and werewolves after dark. Mark Wahlberg was previously under consideration for the lead role, but he passed and so now Eric Bana has entered negotiations.
It isn’t known how close Bana is to signing on or when the movie might go into production.
