It’s still a few months until Man Of Steel hits cinemas on June 14th, but Total Film has got the 411 on the movie in a new feature, which provides a few fresh images from the film as well as behind the scenes (via io9). You can see those pics above and below, which include a fresh look at Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Henry Cavill as Superman himself (we’re liking the fact it looks like Cavill was allowed to stay a bit hairy – as chest fuzz is normally the first thing to go when playing a superhero – just ask Chris Evans as Captain America).
Snyder also told the mag that they’re trying to make a Superman film that makes sense to people, saying “We’ve tried to make a Superman movie where he does stuff and you go, ‘Yeah, if I was Superman, that’s what I’d do. Even though he’s an alien, he’s more relatable, more human.”
Henry Cavill adds, “This is a Superman for a modern age. It’s not betraying anything that Superman is, but it is grounding everything in reality. It’s the story of this incredible being who can do incredible things, but whom we can associate with. Because he’s gone through troubling stuff and had to make tough choices…”
It certainly sounds as if they’re going for the Dark Knight audience with the film. Click on the pics below for larger versions.

Last month rumours emerged that the villain in Justice League would be Darkseid, and now a new report via
One thing you don’t expect in a Superman movie is for the hero to get handcuffed – after all, what would be the point, it’s not like they could hold him? – but that’s what’s happening in a new poster for Man Of Steel. There’s no info on exactly how this fits into the plot, but with a darker tone promised, presumably at some point Clark Kent is seen as persona non grata and has some legal issues.
A few years ago, George Miller was planning a Justice League movie that would feature Batman and Superman, but would feature completely different actors in those roles than in the stand-alone films, with a separate continuity. When Warner Bros announced a few months back they were resurrecting the idea of a Justice League film, it wasn’t clear if this would tie into Man Of Steel and Nolan’s Batman film or not.
David Yates was a ridiculously busy man making four Harry Potter movies over the space of four years, but since Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 he’s taken his time to plot his follow-up. While there have been various things in the works he’s bided his time. Now it appears his next film will be a new take on Tarzan, as
