Movies about people in the financial world don’t usually sound that much fun, and to be honest on paper that’s true of The Wolf Of Wall Street, but as this trailer shows, it could be incredibly entertaining in its insanity.
The based-on-a-true-story movie is about Jordan Belfort’s meteoric rise, where he made making millions selling phony stocks before he was arrested and sentenced to 22 months in prison for securities fraud. Matthew McConaughey, Jonah Hill, Kyle Chandler, Jean Dujardin, Margot Robbie, Jon Bernthal, Rob Reiner, and Jon Favreau also star.
Martin Scorsese directs from a screenplay by Boardwalk Empire creator Terence Winter. Although it wasn’t certain whether the film would be ready for a prime Oscar-bait release at the end of the year, it now appears it will indeed by going for an awards push. [Read more…]
Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg & Jonah Hill are going to have an R-rated Sausage Party and we’re all invited to watch! They’re teaming up with Sony Pictures and Annapurna Pictures for what is expected to be an R-rated animated film, that is indeed called Sausage Party.
Following the $600 million success of Men In Black 3, it’s not too surprising that Sony Pictures wants another one. Now they’re moving forward with Men in Black 4, hiring screenwriter Oren Uziel (The Kitchen Sink) to write the screenplay, according to 
The announcement was made at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, although unfortunately there are no more details than that. While it’s fairly certain Jonah Hill will return, there’s no confirmation of Channing Tatum’s involvement, although hopefully he’ll be back too. It may be difficult for directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller to come back, as they’ve got their hands full with the planned Lego movie, but they may be able to work around that.
For the last couple of years, actress Felicity Jones has seemed poised to break into the big time, and perhaps she’s closer to that by signing on to play the female lead in True Story. She joins Jonah Hill and James Franco who signed up to star last year. Brad Pitt will produce.
