Ewan McGregor has bagged himself a new role, as Variety reports that he’s signed up to star in Last Days In The Desert, alongside Mud star Tye Sheridan. Rodrigo Garcia (Albert Nobbs) is set to write and direct the film.
It sounds like McGregor will be pulling double duty, as he’ll be ‘both a holy man and a demon on a journey through the desert who encounters a family struggling to survive — forcing the holy man to confront his own fate.’
Ciaran Hinds and Ayelet Zurer are also onboard, playing the parents of Sheridan’s character.
The movie will star shooting later this month in the Southern California desert.
