The cast for Spider-Man: Homecoming is coming together quickly now, with Tom Holland being joined by the likes of Michael Keaton, Donald Glover, Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, Kenneth Choi, Michael Barbieri, Tony Revolori, and Laura Harrier over the last few months. Robert Downey Jr. is also set to reprise his Iron Man role. Now a couple more have joined the throng, with Martin Starr & Logan Marshall-Green signing up.

It’s not known exactly who they will play, but THR suggests Prometheus’ Marshall Green will be a villain, alongside Keaton’s main bad guy. Starr’s role is a complete mystery.

Indeed, Sony has been keeping most details about the plot close to it’s chest, as we don’t even know who the main villain will be, although it’s rumoured Keaton will be Vulture. Jon Watts is directing the movie, which starts shooting soon for released July 2017.

Cold Comes The Night Trailer – Bryan Cranston stars in Tze Chun’s film

July 27, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Sony Pictures has picked up worldwide distribution rights to Tze Chun’s Cold Comes The Night, and with that news comes a trailer for the film, which stars Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), and Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus).

The film tells the story of a struggling motel owner (Eve) who, along with her daughter (Parker), is taken hostage by a career criminal (Cranston) as he attempts to retrieve his cash package from a crooked cop (Marshall-Green).  Everyone gets in over their heads, and a series of double-crosses leaves a string of dead bodies in this pulse-pounding story about desperation and survival.

The movie is due out in the UK in September.

Prometheus (Cinema)

June 2, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Starring: Noomi Rapace, Logan Marshall-Green, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce
Director: Ridley Scott
Running Time: 123 mins
Certificate: 15
Release Date: June 1st, 2012

After one of the biggest and most hyperbolic marketing campaigns ever, which did all but suggest that Ridley Scott’s return to sci-fi is a bigger deal than if Jesus returned, Prometheus is here. Ever since it was announced, there’s been a lot of talk about exactly how it’s related to Alien. Scott himself has distanced the film from his earlier effort, saying only that strands of ‘Alien DNA’ would be apparent and that it only becomes a prequel in the last few minutes.

Well, the truth is that this doesn’t just have ‘Alien DNA’, it’s a full-blown prequel. The reason for Scott distancing it is the same as it often is with marketing nowadays – the assumption the audience is stupid (which, to be honest, is often quite a fair assessment for a lot of cinemagoers). There aren’t any xenomorphs (well, pretty much), and so it appears Scott wants to make sure audiences aren’t expecting the iconic facehuggers and aliens and are then disappointed by their absence. Crush Of The Day: Logan Marshall-Green

May 30, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Once Prometheus opens on Friday, Logan Marshall-Green’s star is likely to rise. He’s already made a bit of his name for himself thanks to appearing in a season of 24, as well as short lived TV shows like Dark Blue and Traveler. He’s also appeared in film such as Devil, Brooklyn’s Finest and Across The Universe.

The most important thing is that’s he’d rather dashing, of course, with a fair bit of Tom Hardy ruggedness to him. Take a look at a few hot shots of him below. [Read more…]

Logan Marshall-Green Playing Tennessee Williams In Lonely Hunter

May 10, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Logan Marshall Green’s star is set to rise exponentially following the release of Prometheus next month, and in anticipation he’s already booking in new roles, with Deadline reporting that he’s set to play Tennessee Williams in Lonely Hunter.

The film isn’t all about Williams though (which is a shame, as he’s a fascinating figure, but a rather troubled and difficult one, which is probably why he hasn’t has a high profile biopic), instead concentrating on gothic novelist Carson McCullers (Jena Malone), whose circle included the likes of Williams, Truman Capote and Gypsy Rose Lee.

However it was gay playwright Williams who was her best friend and confidante. It’s not known how deeply the film will go into Williams story, who had a long, very difficult relationship to his sexuality, which was charted in his plays and ranged from acceptance to outright rejection.

Lonely Hunter hopes to shoot later this year.

New Prometheus International Trailer – Loads of awesome new footage

April 30, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Quite frankly, the moment they called their ship the Prometheus they should have known they were in trouble. After all, in Greek mythology Prometheus ended up have his liver being eaten by an eagle for all eternity while he was chained to a rock, in punishment for stealing fire from the gods. However, while they should have probably picked a better name, the movie looks awesome, and now a new three-minute international trailer have arrived, which premiered last night on UK TV and is now available online. There’s loads of new footage, including plenty of intriguing links as to how it will be linked to Alien. It’s undoubtedly exciting, and we only have a few weeks to wait, as the film is due in cinemas June 1st.

First Poster For Prometheus

December 15, 2011 By Movie Muser Leave a Comment

What is it with Prometheus and giant heads? The first images featured a creepy big head and now it’s in the poster too, suggesting it’s got some sort of major part to play. As the plot revolves around the search for humanity’s beginnings, finding a hugh human head on an alien spaceship would be a good hint people weren’t 100% from Earth. With the film a semi-prequel to alien, that leads to a terrifying battle to save the human race.

Ridley Scott directs with Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Rafe Spall, Logan Marshall-Green, Guy Pearce, and Patrick Wilson starring. It hits cinemas in June.

New Prometheus Photos Revealed

November 23, 2011 By Movie Muser Leave a Comment

We’ve still got over six months to wait until Ridley Scott’s sort-of Alien prequel, Prometheus, hits screens on June 1st, but EW has jumped in early by scoring some of the first images from the movie for their print edition. Luckily though the likes of Bloody Disgusting have scanned those pics and now we can take a look for ourselves.

Everything looks a bit glossier than it did in Alien, suggesting Ridley’s going for a different style this time around, although as the shot of the carved head shows, he’s keeping with some of the production design of the actual alien vessels.

Here’s the rather low-on-info synopsis: ‘Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.’ The film stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Rafe Spall, Logan Marshall-Green, Guy Pearce, and Patrick Wilson.’

Rumours suggest the first trailer will also arrive fairly soon.
