Monster Trucks Trailer – Lucas Till gets a weird creature under his bonnet

November 17, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

monster-trucks-poster-slideMonster Trucks has been hanging around for a while, and the studio behind it has so little faith they’ve already written of a multi-million dollar loss on it. However, they’ve nevertheless given it a prime December 26th release date, in the hope of enticing kids while they’re out of school.

But while it may not be the hit they were originally hoping for, it does look bizarre enough that it might not be too bad.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘Looking for any way to get away from the life and town he was born into, Tripp (Lucas Till), a high school senior, builds a Monster Truck from bits and pieces of scrapped cars. After an accident at a nearby oil-drilling site displaces a strange and subterranean creature with a taste and a talent for speed, Tripp may have just found the key to getting out of town and a most unlikely friend.

‘Melding cutting edge visual effects and state-of-the-art CGI, Monster Trucks is an action filled adventure for the whole family that will keep you on the edge of your seat and ultimately touch your heart.’ [Read more…]

Monster Trucks Trailer – Or at least a monster in a truck, with Lucas Till

June 1, 2016 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

monster-trucks-slideI think it’s likely the title for this movie came before any idea about the plot, which may explain why the trailer suggests this is gonna be a bit of an odd movie. Not necessarily a bad one, but an odd one.

Ice Age’s Chris Wedge directs the movie, which will be in cinemas February 2017. Take a look at the first trailer below. [Read more…]

Rapture-Palooza (Blu-ray)

October 28, 2013 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Starring: Anna Kendrick, John Francis Daley, Craig Robinson, Thomas Lennon, Rob Corddry
Director: Paul Middleditch
Running Time: 85 mins
Certificate: 15
Release Date: October 28th 2013

It seems like a normal day, but then the Rapture happens. While not something that’s particularly well-known in the UK, the Rapture is popular with the more fervent evangelical sections of US Christianity. It basically says that when the end of the world begins, the righteous will be whisked off to heaven, leaving everyone else behind to deal with the apocalypse. [Read more…]

A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas (DVD)

November 2, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Starring: John Cho, Kal Penn, Neil Patrick Harris, Thomas Lennon, Amir Blumenfeld
Director: Todd Strauss-Schulson
Running Time: 90 mins
Certificate: 18
Release Date: November 5th 2012

When Kal Penn (aka Kumar) went off to work for Obama at the White House (yes, that really happened), it seemed that would be the end of Harold and Kumar. However he left his job in the President’s communications department and so the stoners have returned for a festive adventure. In cinemas they even went 3D, and indeed if you’ve got a 3D Blu-ray player and the right TV, you can enjoy a third dimension in the home, but if you’re going with DVD, you’ll have to enjoy the movie in good old 2D. Rob Corddry & Leslie Bibb Fighting Off A Hell Baby

March 21, 2012 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant are extremely in demands as actors, writers and producer, thanks to the likes of Night at the Museum, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Taxi, Reno 911!: Miami, Balls of Fury, and The Pacifier. Now they want to add another string to their bow by directing Hell Baby, which they also wrote.

Rob Corddry and Leslie Bibb have signed on to star in the horror comedy, which is about a young expectant couple who move into New Orleans’ most haunted fixer-upper and calls upon The Vatican’s elite exorcism team to save them from a demonic baby. Lennon and Garant will portray that team.

The film is set to start production on location in New Orleans in April. (Source: Variety)
