Eli Roth hasn’t directed a movie since 2007’s Hostel: Part II (he’s produced quite a few films though), but now it’s been announced that principal photography is set to begin November 5th in Peru on his new movie, The Green Inferno.
The horror thriller’s cast has also been announced, which includes Lorenza Izzo (Aftershock), Ariel Levy (Aftershock), Aaron Burns, Daryl Sabara (John Carter, Machete), Kirby Bliss Blanton (Project X), Magda Apanowicz and actress/singer Sky Ferreria. Roth is directing based on a screenplay he co-wrote with Aftershock co-writer, Guillermo Amoedo.
Filming will take place over the next few weeks in Peru before moving to Santiago, Chile. The movie follows a naive group of student activists who head from New York to stage a protest in the jungles of Peru, trying to tackles the evils of deforestation. Sadly for them, they don’t encounter pissed off loggers as much as they fall foul of cannibals (which sounds oddly like the episode of South Park where Kenny and co. go to the rainforest).

While we may not have a title yet, Cameron Crowe is busy putting together his next movie, and already has Emma Stone lined up to star. Now

Now Kari Skogland (Fifty Dead Men Walking) is hoping to help remedy that, with a movie based on Marina Nemat’s memoir, Prisoner of Tehran: One Woman’s Story of Survival Inside an Iranian Prison.
Things are gearing up on the planned S.H.I.E.L.D TV series. A couple of weeks ago we learned that Clark Gregg would return to the Marvel Universe for at least the pilot episode, playing Agent Coulson. Now he’s got some company, as
Rhys Ifans is one of those actors you can put in virtually any type of movie and he seems perfectly at home. While he spent this summer turning into a lizard in The Amazing Spider-man, now he’s planning to don some period garb, as he has joined the cast of Madame Bovary for director Sophie Barthes (Cold Souls).
Legendary Pictures, the company behind the likes of the Dark Knight movies and Watchmen, has been busy working on a screen version of the popular Mass Effect game. Now
