Nowadays in Hollywood if you’re a young actor, you almost want there to be rumours that you are gay, as it’s almost become a right of passage and marker that your star is on the rise – after all, it does at least mean people are paying attention to you.
One young man who’s certainly seen his screen status rise this year is Ansel Elgort, thanks to The Fault In Our Stars and Divergent. As a result there have been some people questioning whether he likes boys more than girls (although we have to say it’s not exactly a question that has kept Nobel Laureates awake at night).
The 20-year-old has decided to set the record straight, saying that he is indeed a lady lover, but he’s a modern guy so also wants to ensure he has no problem with the whole gay thing. He tweets:
Just in case it isn't clear… I like girls. A lot.

Also let me say if I was gay I wouldn't hide it. Being gay or straight isn't bad or good it just IS. U are who you are. Be true to yourself.

The young man is actually slated to play gay in a biopic of pianist Van Cliburn, who rose to prominence by winning a music competition in Moscow at the heigh of the Cold War. He also raised a few eyebrows by creating a gayer version of the Fault In Our Stars poster image, alongside Nat Wolff.
After having a break for several years, the Backstreet Boys got back together in 2014 and as part of that they decided to make a film about their time together, where for several years they were the biggest pop group in the world.
If you’re going to change directors, swapping Steven Spielberg for Clint Eastwood is a great trade. With a limited US release of December 25th, American Sniper is now gearing up to be in the Oscar race, with Bradley Cooper aiming for his third Oscar nomination in a row with the movie.
Alan Rickman is a great actor, but now he’s turning director (technically for the second time after 1997’s The Winter Guest) and going period drama with A Little Chaos.
James Franco’s plans have certainly changed in the past few days, as rather than running around promoting the release of The Interview, the cancellation of the film’s release means he’s lying relatively low instead. However just so we don’t forget about him, the trailer for True Story has arrived, a film that hopefully won’t have hackers threatening to commit terrorist atrocities.
Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg have had fruitful collaboration over the years, and now they’re back together for a Cold War thriller, which may be going in front of the camera but currently has no title.
Guillermo Del Toro is certainly taking his time with Crimson Peak. The movie shot early this year but won’t be in cinemas until October 2015. However we now get our first look at the movie courtesy of an image of Jessica Chastain that appears in the latest issue of EW.
I still can’t get over how fricking hot Chris Pratt has become since he started working out (maybe there’s still hope for me), and that’s certainly true in this new pic, released by Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow on
It would have been a bit odd if the only gay person at Hogwarts was Dumbledore, but there’s been no confirmation before now that he wasn’t the sole anomaly in a sea of straightness surrounding Harry Potter.
While Jamie Dornan didn’t have a huge amount of time to get ready to play Christian Grey in the upcoming movie version of 50 Shades Of Grey, it seems he still took his research seriously. Talking to
