Snervous Tyler Oakley Trailer – The social media star goes on tour with a documentary camera

November 7, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

snervous-poster-slideTyler Oakley is one of the most successful of the growing band of names who’ve found fame (and sometimes notoriety) through social media. While many of these young celeb have come out as gay after finding popularity, Oakley has never been in the closet to his fans and, alongside the snippets of his life he’s shared online, he’s also long been involved with LGBT activism.

His success hasn’t just been on the web though, as he’s written books and gained enough of a following that he’s been on tour. And that’s where Snervous comes in, which follows the 26-year-old Oakley on his sold out international Slumber Party tour across the U.S., U.K., and Ireland.

It also promises that, ‘As one of the biggest digital stars today, Oakley’s no stranger to sharing his life online, but the film promises even more intimate looks into his relationship with his family and followers.’

Oakley is a bit of a love him or loathe him figure (but then, that seems to be compulsory for social media celebs), so it’ll be interesting to see if Snervous can change anyone’s mind.

The documentary is available to the U.S. now for pre-order at www.Snervous.com, iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, Vudu and will available through digital download and limited theatrical release on December 11, 2015.

Take a look at the trailer below.

Zachary Quinto Says He’s Offered Coming Out Advice To Closeted Actors

November 7, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

zachary-quinto-attitudeIt’s no secret that there are quite a few well-known actors out there who are gay, but who completely live in the closet, afraid that coming out will affect their career. That’s despite the fact the likes of Neil Patrick Harris, Matt Bomer and Zachary Quinto have shown it’s possible to maintain your success after telling the world your sexuality.

Quinto recently told Attitude that he’s been approached by closeted actors who are considering their options, saying, “I just share my experience and say ‘This is how it went down for me, this is how I feel.’

“I tell them, ‘Trust that even if it means you’re not as famous, or even if it means it’s not exactly what you thought it would be, it’s still more valuable when you’re assessing your life at the end of that’”

The actor was speaking to Attitude to mark World AIDS Day, telling them, “It’s still utterly essential…Not just in marking the advancement, progress and fight against the diseases, but also cultivating knowledge and awareness of it for people all over the world.”

Warcraft: The Beginning Trailer – Into the fantasy world with Travis Fimmel & Ben Foster

November 7, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

warcraft-poster1-slideFrom the evidence of this trailer, Warcraft: The Beginning certainly looks like it’s going after Middle Earth’s fantasy crown. It definitely seems inspired by Peter Jackson’s Tokien movies while also doing a good job of feeling like it’s set in the world of the Warcraft computer game.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home.

‘So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.

‘Directed by Duncan Jones (Moon,Source Code) and written by Charles Leavitt andJones, the film starring Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Rob Kazinsky and Daniel Wuis a Legendary Pictures, Blizzard Entertainment and Atlas Entertainment production.’

It’ll be in cinemas next June. Take a look at the trailer below.

Chloe Moretz Will Be The Little Mermaid, With Richard Curtis Writing The Script

November 7, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

chloe-moretzIn March 2014 Sofia Coppola signed up to direct a new, live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid for Universal and Working Title. She has since moved on but the film is alive and well, with Variety reporting that Chloe Moretz will play the title role, and Richard Curtis (Four Wedding, Love Actually) will write the script.

Not much is known about the specifics of this new take on Hans Christian Andersen’s classic story, other than the bare bones of it following a mermaid who wishes to become human after falling in love with a man she saved from drowning.

The film currently has no director, and it’s believed that Universal plans to wait until Curtis has finished his pass at the screenplay before they bring one in. As a result it’s not clear when it will shoot or when it will arrive in cinemas.

An outsider, Eva (Eloisa Maturén), arrives in their secluded retreat after her car breaks down. In The Grayscale (US DVD Review)

November 6, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Starring: Francisco Celhay, Emilio Edwards, Daniela Ramírez, Matías Torres, Sergio Hernández
Director: Claudio Marcone
Running Time: 101 mins
Certificate: NR
Release Date: November 3rd 2015 (US)

I’m starting to think we should just leave South America to make all the gay-themed movies, as they seem to have a knack for it. This Chilean effort follows architect Bruno (Francisco Celhay), who has a wife, child and a seemingly picture perfect life. However, he isn’t happy and is in the process of moving out in order to find himself.

Bruno is then offered the chance to design something iconic for Santiago by a businessman hoping to make his mark. This brings him into contact with history teacher Fer, who has been brought in to help Bruno with his new project. Fer is witty, lively and, as Bruno soon discovers, gay. Being around Fer begins to bring out something Bruno has been repressing, and soon a romance is blossoming. However, the reality of his former life and the big changes continuing his relationship with Fer will cause, ensure it won’t be an easy love. [Read more…]

Terminator Genisys (DVD Review)

November 6, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Starring: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jai Courtney, Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Dayo Okeniyi
Director: Alan Taylor
Running Time: 126 mins
Certificate: 12
Release Date: November 2nd 2015 (UK)

Having spent $10s of millions on buying the Terminator franchise, the backers of Genisys had a lot riding on the movie. The film was planned as the first part of a new trilogy, although it seemed that was in major doubt after it only made $89 million at the US box office. However worldwide it did much better, grossing $440 million overall. As a result we’re likely to see more Terminating, even if the original plans change.

It’s both a continuation and semi-reboot, with Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) sent back in time to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) from an evil Terminator (a CGI’d young Arnold Schwarzenegger), but once there it turns out events have changed since the first time we saw things, as Sarah is well aware of what’s going on, as she’s been protected by her own Terminator, which she calls Pops (a non CGI, aging Arnie), since she was a child. New Secret in Their Eyes Trailer – Chiwetel Ejiofor & Julia Roberts are looking for a killer

November 6, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

Secret-in-Their-Eyes-slideShortly after the 2009 Argentinian movie The Secret in Their Eyes won the Best Foreign Language Oscar there was a lot of talk on making an English-language version. It’s taken a while but now it’s on its way, with Chiwetel Ejiofor in the lead role, alongside Julia Roberts and Nicole Kidman.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘A tight-knit team of rising FBI investigators – Ray (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and Jess (Julia Roberts), along with their District Attorney supervisor Claire (Nicole Kidman) – is suddenly torn apart when they discover that Jess’s teenage daughter has been brutally and inexplicably murdered.

Now, thirteen years later, after obsessively searching every day for the elusive killer, Ray finally uncovers a new lead that he’s certain can permanently resolve the case, nail the vicious murderer, and bring long-desired closure to his team. No one is prepared, however, for the shocking, unspeakable secret that will reveal the enduring, destructive effects of personal vengeance on the human soul.

‘Interweaving past and present, this deeply layered mystery explores the murky boundaries between justice and revenge, and asks the question: how far would you go to right an unfathomable wrong?’

The movie’s due out later this year.

The passengers, bounty hunter John Ruth (Russell) and his fugitive Daisy Domergue (Leigh), race towards the town of Red Rock where Ruth, known in these parts as “The Hangman,” will bring Domergue to justice.

Losing their lead on the blizzard, Ruth, Domergue, Warren and Mannix seek refuge at Minnie’s Haberdashery, a stagecoach stopover on a mountain pass. When they arrive at Minnie’s, they are greeted not by the proprietor but by four unfamiliar faces.

Apropos Of Nothing: Gay Rubgy Star Keegan Hirst Strips Down For Attitude

November 5, 2015 By Tim Isaac Leave a Comment

keegan-hirst-attitude-slideWhen a celeb or sportsman comes out as gay, it undoubtedly seems like the world of shirtless modelling suddenly opens up for them. I’m sure it’s not really like that, but it seems like it, and it’s certainly something rugby player Keegan Hirst has embraced, as just a few days after coming out pics from his first nude (but with privates covered) photoshoot were released.

Now he’s gone in front of the lens for Attitude magazine for a sexy, shirtless cover shoot, and he’s looking extremely good.
