Having just ended on BBC3 in the UK, Family Guy – Season 14 arrives on DVD in the UK. It’s perhaps the most controversial season in the show’s history – which isn’t bad going for a series that’s previously had two episodes that were fully animated and then rejected by the Fox network due to worries about their content.
However the controversy this time wasn’t due to Family Guy taking on abortion or concern about jokes about Jews – it’s because they killed off one of the main characters. Yep, a few episodes in to Season 14 Brian the faux-intellectual dog bites the big one (or at least bites the tarmac, seeing as he gets run over). Before Dallas Buyers Club, there was a four-year gap between movies for Jared Leto while he concentrated on fronting his band. However after he won an Oscar, many expected him to return to the world of movies with a vengeance.
Warcraft finished shooting a while ago, but with so many special effects to finish off, it won’t be in cinemas for nearly a year and a half. However Blizzard Entertainment decided that it would be a good time to start introducing us to the movie at their BlizzCon gaming convention in Anaheim, CA.

In 2007, Erin Davies’ VW Beetle was vandalized with a hateful slur while she was at a pride event. Rather than be ashamed of what happened, the art teacher turned activist drove around with the word on her car for a year before getting it completely remodeled as the Fagbug, rainbow coloured and covered in pride. She then hit the road with her loud, out and proud message to raise awareness of LGBT rights and speak up where so many have been silenced.

Coming out is rarely an easy thing to do, and that’s as true for celebrities as it is for everyone else.
