We haven’t heard too much from Sam Raimi since Oz The Great And Powerful, but now he’s plotting his next move, as Deadline reports that he’s in negotiations to make the dramatic thriller Love May Fail.
The always dependable Mike White (The Good Girl, School Of Rock) has written the screenplay, based on Silver Linings Playbook author Matthew Quick’s novel. The story follows ‘a woman who is coming off a demoralizing ending to her marriage to a cheating husband returns to her hometown determined to clear the name of her favorite English teacher, whose career was ended forcibly after a classroom scandal.’
The novel isn’t due to be published until June 2015, so Raimi is certainly getting in early and obviously believes this is a story worth turning into a movie.
