Garret Dillahunt (Raising Hope), Tom Felton (Harry Potter), and Jake Abel (The Host) are getting together for a World War II movie called Ghosts of the Pacific, which tells the true story of three Navy flyers who got cast adrift on the South Pacific in 1942.
Brian Falk will make his directorial debut with the film, which tells the incredible journey of pilot Harold Dixon (Dillahunt), bombardier Tony Pastula (Felton), and radioman Gene Aldrich (Abel), who were virtual strangers assigned to a scouting mission on January 16, 1942. When they were forced to ditch their plane in the ocean, the men were left with no food, water, or supplies; only a 4ft by 8ft yellow life raft to keep them afloat.

Ghosts of the Pacific is scheduled to commence principal photography April 15th, working from a script by Falk and Mark David Keegan. The movie will shoot at Baja Studios in Rosarito, Mexico, which houses the largest outdoor water tank in the world, built for James Cameron’s Titanic.

The follow-up to 300 is finally coming this summer, and to prove it, a couple of new images from 300: Rise of an Empire has been released. One features Aussie actor Sullivan Stapleton as the mighty Themistokles, while the other features a sea-bound battle.
More new posters have emerged for some of this year’s most anticipated movies – Elysium, The Longer Ranger and The Hangover Part III. The Elysium poster above comes just a few hours before we’ve been promised the first trailer for the movie, which sees Matt Damon as a man living on a ruined Earth, who becomes a threat to the elite, who live way above the surface in a place called Elysium. The film hits cinemas this summer.
